How do you get Vancouverites to attend your cultural event during the fleeting summer months? Take it outside. With that in mind, Katherine Polgrain has organized Artful Sundays, a “multimedia visual-art market” taking place July 31 and every weekend until August 28 at florid Napier Square (corner of Napier Street and Commercial Drive).
Running from noon to 4 p.m., the get-together showcases everything from painting and ceramics to metalwork and jewellery, plus featured artists such as Philip Stephen (above).
There’ll also be musical entertainment—and when you’re done browsing and shopping, the local neighbourhood also provides more than its fair share of visual stimulation.
